Declaration State of Emergency - Burn Ban:

The Town of Bolton has officially declared a State of Emergency to reinforce the State of Connecticut's Burn Ban. Due to the prolonged period of extremely dry weather coupled with the very dry ground and no immediate rain forecasted there is NO BURNING PERMITTED.  This declaration will stay in effect until the state removes its declaration and the state of emergency is lifted.

NOTICE OF REFERENDUM – TOWN OF BOLTON

Pursuant to Section 8.5(3) of the Bolton Town Charter, electors and others qualified to vote at referendum in the Town of Bolton are hereby warned of a referendum to be held in the aforesaid Town of Bolton at the Parish Center at St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Road, Bolton, CT, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 6 AM to 8 PM.  The purpose of this referendum is to vote yes or no on the following question:

“SHALL THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF BOLTON CONNECTICUT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE BOARD OF FINANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,873,099 BE ADOPTED?”

Voting machines will be used.  Absentee ballots are available in the Town Clerk’s office.
