A Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for the Town of Bolton for Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2025, will be held on April 22, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. (following the BOS A/P Meeting and the Public Information Session Regarding the First Selectman’s Salary) at the Bolton Town Hall located at 222 Bolton Center Road, Bolton, Connecticut.

Copies of the Proposed Budget, First Selectman’s Salary and Ordinance(s) will be available for public inspection beginning April 17, 2025, at the Town Clerk’s office at Bolton Town Hall during normal business hours.

Highway Crewman I - NOW ACCEPTING INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

The Town of Bolton is currently hiring for a Highway Crewman I. Applicants must possess a valid CDL to be considered for the position. This position is a bargaining unit position covered by AFSCME Local 1303-126. If an internal employee fills the vacancy of the regular position or new position created, he/she will be paid the higher rate of pay for that vacancy while serving the thirty (30) day probationary period (as stated per union contract). Starting pay for this position is $34.71.

Hours are 7a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. After successful completion of the six (6) month probationary period the wage increases. This position includes benefits such as medical insurance, sick leave, paid vacation and retirement plan. The completed application and affirmative action questionnaire are due back to this office at the address below, no later than 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 25, 2025. Please note the completion of the affirmative action questionnaire is voluntary and is not considered a part of the hiring process.

Lifeguard (Seasonal)

The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking both full time and part time seasonal summer lifeguards. Under the direct supervision of the head lifeguard, lifeguards are responsible for the everyday safety and wellbeing of patrons at Indian Notch Lake. Lifeguards will strictly enforce all policies procedures and regulations with all patrons. Staff will work closely with other town staff on a daily basis and perform all rescues and follow up procedures. Lifeguards must have their Lifeguard certificate through Red Cross including waterfront. Please check the Red Cross website for dates times and locations to become certified.

Maintainer I (Seasonal)

Seasonal Maintainer I for Buildings & Grounds department, end of June through Labor Day. Performs work in the maintenance, repair and construction of parks, grounds, recreational areas and facilities including custodial and maintenance duties. Pay rate is $16.35/ hour.

Senior Center Van Driver

Part-time driver needed for the Senior Center on an as needed basis.  Must possess CDL license with passenger endorsement and clean driving record.  Subject to background check.  Works under the direction of the Director of Senior and Social Services.  Operates vans for up to 20 passengers to pick up and deliver seniors and disabled adults to the Senior Center, medical appointments, shopping, errands and other events as assigned.  Positive customer service and confidentiality required.

The position is currently paid $20.00 per hour, and hours per week vary.
