What is Autism?

March 6, 2023
6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Bentley Memorial Library, 206 Bolton Center Road, Bolton, CT

During this informational talk, Dr. Arlette Cassidy a 30-year veteran school psychologist, will discuss the nature and characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder. After a brief description of the diagnostic criteria and the various assessment tools used, Arlette will discuss what to look for in school programs, along with ideas for social and home-based interventions. We hope you leave with a better understanding of what ASD is and isn’t, as well as gain a few simple ideas of strategies that may help those with an ASD function more comfortably in their world.
