The Only Woman in the Room follows the adult life of Hedy Kiesler, better known as Hedy Lamarr from her time as a stage actress in Vienna to becoming the wife of a munitions developer known as the "Merchant of Death" to a famed Hollywood film star. Perhaps Lamarr’s greatest, and most lasting, contributions came from her intellect and desire to protect endangered people.
