Declaration State of Emergency - Burn Ban:

The Town of Bolton has officially declared a State of Emergency to reinforce the State of Connecticut's Burn Ban. Due to the prolonged period of extremely dry weather coupled with the very dry ground and no immediate rain forecasted there is NO BURNING PERMITTED.  This declaration will stay in effect until the state removes its declaration and the state of emergency is lifted.

The Bolton Aquifer Protection Agency, at its August 14, 2024 special meeting, approved renewal the existing registrations for Christopher Laplante, 200 Boston Turnpike (Comcast), conditioned on:

1. Only (G) Car or truck washing (unsewered) is renewed as this activity was previously registered and renewed. An updated Sheet #4 shall be resubmitted showing only (G) checked.

2. (D) Repair of maintenance of vehicles or internal combustion engines of vehicles is not a registered activity and therefore is not renewed as part of this application. A new permit application to add a regulated activity to a registered facility is required to conduct this activity. Any on-premises vehicle repairs and maintenance shall cease until such permit is applied for and granted.

3. An updated Sheet #6 shall be resubmitted showing all boxes checked, even if they are N/A, which indicates that the subject facility is in compliance with all applicable best management practices.

and to expire on August 1, 2029.
