Declaration State of Emergency - Burn Ban:

The Town of Bolton has officially declared a State of Emergency to reinforce the State of Connecticut's Burn Ban. Due to the prolonged period of extremely dry weather coupled with the very dry ground and no immediate rain forecasted there is NO BURNING PERMITTED.  This declaration will stay in effect until the state removes its declaration and the state of emergency is lifted.

LEGAL NOTICE

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Bolton, that the taxes for the 2023 GL will be due and payable on July 1, 2024. The Tax Collector’s office is in the Bolton Town Hall, 222 Bolton Center Rd., Bolton, CT, lower level. Office hours for payments are as follows:

Mon, Wed., Thur. 8:30 am-4:00 pm
Tue 8:30 am-6:30 pm
Fri 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

Payments must be received or postmarked by August 1, 2024, to avoid interest. Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged for all taxes remaining unpaid. Interest starts accruing from July 1, 2024, the date the taxes became due and payable. The minimum interest charge is $2.00 per bill.

Failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the tax or interest per CT State Statute.
