Public Information Session regarding the First Selectman's Salary - Immediately following the A/P meeting.

A Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for the Town of Bolton for Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2025, will be held on April 22, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. (following the BOS A/P Meeting and the Public Information Session Regarding the First Selectman’s Salary) at the Bolton Town Hall located at 222 Bolton Center Road, Bolton, Connecticut.

Copies of the Proposed Budget, First Selectman’s Salary and Ordinance(s) will be available for public inspection beginning April 17, 2025, at the Town Clerk’s office at Bolton Town Hall during normal business hours.

PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING :

A  MEETING REGARDING THE HERITAGE FARM TRAIL WILL BE HELD AT TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY, APRIL 29, AT 6:30 P.M.

Oversize Item/Scrap-Metal Pick Up

Oversized item pickup will occur EVERY OTHER MONTH. These items MUST have a numbered sticker attached to it which can be purchased at the Selectmen’s office. Once this criterion has been met please call All American Waste, 860-289-7850 to schedule an appointment for pickup. This would include such items as a couch, love seat, chairs, carpeting, 4 rolls per sticker, (maximum 4 ft sections, rolled and tied, not to exceed 1 to 1 ½ ft in diameter), and windows of wood frames (glass must be broken out and not to be more than 4 ft in any direction.). Pick up will take place in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December.

The Recycling Center can be used for items that you cannot put out for the regular trash pick up. A permit is required to use this facility. The permit is good for up to four years or four punches depending on the volume you bring in. It can be purchased for $24.00 at the Recycling Center or at the Selectmen’s office during regular business hours. The Recycling Center is typically open the first and third Saturday of each month from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. April thru November. The facility is located behind the Notch Road Municipal Center on Schoolhouse Road. Box springs and mattresses will be accepted for free provided they are clean, not wet and don't have bed bugs. There are containers available for the deposit of waste oil and antifreeze at no charge. Electronics items may be dropped off at no charge. This center will not accept hazardous materials, or cardboard.

Scrap Metal Collection Week - Curbside scrap metal collection will be held at the in end of April/May and October. Items for collection must be curbside by 7 a.m. on the first day of that week. If your items are not collected by Friday afternoon, please call the selectmen’s office.
