Paint Disposal

Latex Paint:

On July 1, 2013, PaintCare, a non-profit association of paint and coating manufacturers, rolled out a program in Connecticut designed to collect and recycle unwanted paint and coatings. The program is a direct result of the Paint Stewardship Law passed in 2011 and has resulted in a network of convenient drop-off locations for unwanted oil and latex paint. There are over 140 retail drop-off locations in the state. * Latex paint can now be brought to the Mid-NEROC Chemical Waste Drop-Off Facility at 57 Hancock Road in Willington along with oil based paint.

Oil Based Paint:

Oil based paint can be brought to the Mid-NEROC Chemical Waster Drop-Off Facility located in Willington at 57 Hancock Road.  Businesses will be charged based on the material type and quantity. Businesses, call 684-3163 to make an appointment. There is no charge for household hazardous waste.
